America, from the great plains to the dramatic coastlines, and everything in between, there is so much to see. Of course there a few places I could go to time and time again, but there is always a fun and emerging city to visit. Take a look at 12 US cities you need to visit:

1. Austin, Texas
The newest tech bubble has sprung upon Austin, Texas and demands attention from any 20 something year old to come. From fun nightlife, street food and lively concerts, Austin is the place to be.

2. Denver, Colorado
Set in the outdoors, this metropolitan is the hub for all active people. With the perks of the city to the gateway to the mountains, Denver is a one of a kind city.

3. Portland, Oregon
I know it may be an obvious city to put on this list but who cares, it’s hip for a reason. Stumptown coffee roasters, to river walks and more, Portland is a city to spend a leisurely long weekend.

4. New Orleans, Louisiana
Jazz, beignets, and French-Creole food- must I say more? For those looking for French heritage in the heart of the US and don’t mind some loud music, this is the place to explore.

5. San Francisco, California
Holding the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, home to Twitter and every other app, and much more, San Francisco is the place to be. Not to mention world class eateries, coffee shops and shopping, San Francisco’s hipsters will even have you ordering multiple coffees a day.

Always a personal favorite, Seattle is a mini San Francisco with just a bit colder temperatures. This small city along the water is a great destination in the North West. From fresh oysters to Pike Market fish tossing and the home of Starbucks, Seattle has a little of everything.

The gateway to all things crafted. Perhaps “made in Brooklyn” will be the new American slogo. From views of the city at DUMBO, to world class food trucks, Brooklyn is the city you should always go to.

This renown music city is perfect for the musician at heart. From parks to city, Nashville has a cultural standpoint on some of the greatest music places in the US.

The city that is mostly unknown, this urban city is the doors to the wilderness. A lovely place along the water with nature that is untouched, it is the perfect grounds to go explore the glaciers, wild bears and perhaps some heli-skiing.
