I love Sun Valley, Idaho – but you already knew that.

You can’t go to Boise and not drive the two hours to spend a weekend or two in this gem of a town. I’ll skip the part of romanticizing you about the destination and just skip to the details of this hotel. (Read about the destination here)

The Inn opened in 1937 with an European influence to the style and decor. The atmosphere is similar to a Swiss chalet meets Parisian luxury. The rooms still hold the quaint, historic feeling yet are up to date with amenities. With it being an older hotel, the rooms are still maintained extremely clean and boasted a beautiful marble bathroom. The bed was massively comfortable and made for the perfect place to rest after a day on the slopes.

What I loved most about the Sun Valley Inn was the location. Only a short 8 minutes from the slopes, it is the perfect base to explore the gems of Sun Valley. It is conveniently placed in the village at Sun Valley Resort, with things like ice skating, shops, and restaurants nearby. In the morning, I woke up and headed straight to the Konditorei for a cup of coffee and an Austrian pastry – one of the most charming cafes in the valley. Being able to walk to many amenities, makes this hotel the perfect place to call home for a weekend in Sun Valley.
