Arriving to the island of Mykonos is just a short hopper flight from the mainland or a ferry ride away and you can see why locals come over for the weekend. With a bustling nightlife during the summer, hot beach clubs, and food to die for, Mykonos is a great destination in the Cyclades. Looking for luxury, looking for a view, and looking for top service? Stop your searching and take a peak at the Myconian Villa Collection. Five resorts (all part of the Myconian Collection Hotels and Resorts) lie on the hillside of Elia Beach, a popular destination on this Greek Isle. Each resort has a different atmosphere, catering to a certain type of person. The Myconian Villa Collection was my personal favorite, let me explain why:

As you walk into the lobby you can get a good sense of the goal of this resort. Natural tones, refined modern furnishings and touches of nature brace this resort for a relaxing stay. With a world class Thalasso Spa at the bottom floor, it is easy to understand the designated vibe for this luxurious resort. As you head up to the next floor, you walk out onto the patio where you will have to take a few moments to catch your breath for this view of the Aegean Sea. With an infinity pool you won’t be able to take your eyes off, the black and white striped cushions give it a touch of modernized seaside luxury.

We can’t forget the food. I may have eaten the same thing twice as it was to die for. Their chef has refined the menu down to the classic Greek dishes with a twist of perfected flavors. The grilled octopus was a highlight along with the local Greek white wines- not to mention the views from lunch were just absurdly mesmerizing.

The Villa experience has a lot to offer when it comes to the guestrooms whether you prefer a room with a sunbathing patio, a private pool, or outdoor spa jacuzzi- of course the rooms have views of the Aegean Sea. Each room is decorated with refined white hues and colorful decorations to bring a pop of color.

The resort is located further outside of Mykonos town but offers complimentary shuttle to and from the port for easy access to explore the wonderful seaside town. Taking advantage of this shuttle one night we headed into town for a crepe and to experience the nightlife. It was easy to use and a comfortable ride on their shuttle.

Whether you choose to spend the afternoon at the infinity pool, the Thalasso spa, or take the complimentary shuttle down to the pristine Elia Beach, the Myconian Villa Collection Resort is a place to spend a quiet few days of luxurious relaxation.
