This time of year in Napa Valley is my favorite. The grapevines are turning shades of orange, red, and yellow. The air is starting to become crisp yet the sun is still warm. It really could not be more perfect. Growing up with family in Saint Helena (just North of Napa) I never spent much time in Napa proper. Just of recent they opened a place called Oxbow Pubic Market. If Manhattan has Chelsea Markets, San Francisco has the Ferry building, well this is Napa’s equivalent.

You walk in, the first thing to see is Kara’s cupcakes (try the s’mores). Then head through and check out the herb shop, a shop just for bitters for mixology, and much more. At the end of the hall is a personal favorite, Ritual Coffee. After eating your sweets, make sure to go to Hog Island Oyster Co, some of the best oysters around and guaranteed fresh.
Napa has won my heart again for another reason to take a day trip or a romantic weekend away in the wine valley. Take a peak at Oxbow Public Market for a foodie day.
