The Leading Hotels of the World


Along the slice of heaven, better known as the Amalfi Coast of Italy, lies a small town called Ravello. Perched on the top of a mountainside, this quaint place has rivaling views looking out across the Mediterranean Sea. Naturally where else would you put one of the best, luxury hotels in the world? Belmond Hotels has done it again and has done it well. At the entrance of Ravello, down the brick road, lies an old historic palace that has been transformed into the current Hotel Caruso. As you enter inside, the fresco walls, a warm smile, and a greeting of “Welcome to the Caruso” will quickly sweep you off your feet. The Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria is one of the best hotels in Sorrento for those who are looking to not be right on the main path, experience old world Italian charm, and have a luxurious stay that rivals some of the best in the world. The staff were friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable (the concierge even brought me a converter when I forgot mine!). Thank you to Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria for such a wonderful experience in Sorrento, Italy.

What was once a charming summer house overlooking the bay of Positano is now an exclusive Leading Hotels of the World hotel called Le Sirenuse. Positano attracts people of all sorts, those in search of Italian charm, quintessential food like fried calamari, or in my case a killer view. Le Sirenuse sits above the bay and those wanting to capture all that Positano has to offer can do so here. What I loved most about this hotel was that it use to be a family’s house so when it comes to decorations, special touches are truly special as they were handpicked by the family for you.
