If you saw on my previous post on El Dorado Royale Casitas, you know that the resort is an absolute win. Not just for Riviera Maya, or being an all-inclusive, but for the quality in cuisine offered at the resort.

From a greenhouse that supplies a lot of the ingredients used at all of the Karisma properties, to sourcing locally grown ingredients, there really is a different level in care when it comes to food. Every meal had a bold flavors whether it was from the onsite grown mint in the mojitos to the fresh tomatoes in the salads and ceviches — you could truly taste the difference.

It makes sense that none other then the iconic Jackson Family Wines would pair up with Karisma Resorts to bring their guests an experience unique only to them. Jackson Family Wines has been growing and bottling world class wines out of the heart of wine country in California for many years. They are known for their outstanding labels like La Crema, Freemark Abbey, Stonestreet Broken Road, and of course Kendall-Jackson.

When Karisma and Jackson Family Wines paired up, what they created was something beautiful. Something new. Something unique.

It offered guests an opportunity to have a culinary experience via a week long series of events. Every night, something new is offered to the guests to experience the wine and food. Hosted by a notable chef and winemaker, the guests get to learn world class wine firsthand.

The series events feature an array of different experiences. Beginning night is an intro to the wines, getting to taste a sampler of foods and wines in a private event. Throughout the week, highlights like a six course tasting where Yucatan Meets California is introduced after a wine tasting, the event goes well into the evening to be truly immersed in the wines. Another highlight of the series is a cooking class, where the notable chef prepares a multitude of dishes, and you get to take home the recipes.

Overall, this add on experience at Karisma Resorts, gives guests one more reason to not only see the difference but taste it. Every night was a great entry to learning about wines, how to taste, and how to pair wines in the best way.
