Nestled along the picturesque Lake Geneva, the Hotel Beau Rivage awaits those who are looking for an unforgettable experience.

Stepping through the doors, you can feel the rich tradition and history of the hotel. Family-owned since 1865, the Hotel Beau Rivage gives a personal touch to the stay through a knowledgeable concierge team. The refined service was incredible, and its quiet grounds felt peaceful amongst the bustling city of Geneva.

Downstairs at the main floor, the exquisite entry greets like none other. Intricate details like a fountain in the center courtyard with plush chairs surrounding feels luxurious yet approachable. On the same floor, the Atrium Lobby Bar awaits for a nightcap or a coffee during the day, making for the perfect place to meet friends. During the summer months, the Terrace is the place to be for lunch or tea, with beautiful views over the lake where you can see the famous Jet d’Eau in the distance.

The restaurant scene at Hotel Beau Rivage is incredible, and their one Michelin-star restaurant Le Chat Botté is no exception. One evening was spent dining in this French-classic restaurant, with a meal that was memorable. Bright flavors and bold ingredients brought together the best of French cuisine and were executed in a playful and modern way. In the morning, one could return to the same restaurant to enjoy a buffet breakfast (also incredible) in the same room. For those looking for another dining experience, Hotel Beau Rivage also has Patara that features a Thai-inspired menu.

As the dining was a highlight at the Hotel Beau Rivage, the rooms were equally elegant. Each suite and room is tailored and decorated beautifully and offers modern amenities. The expansive room had a beautiful view over the lake, providing a serene way to wake up each morning. The room also featured an expansive bathroom fitted with Clarins products, a shower, and tub made for unwinding. A separate restroom, a full closet, and the Hotel Beau Rivage easily felt like home.

The Hotel Beau Rivage is the place to call home in Geneva for those looking for lakeside luxury. With a wide range of dining opportunities and footsteps from the heart of Geneva, the Hotel Beau Rivage brings forth an exquisite experience.

PS — Are You Booking a Trip Soon? Use My Booking Checklist!
These are the sites I use most to book my own trips. Using the links below is a great way to support Bon Traveler’s travel journalism at no extra cost to you. If you need help organizing your itinerary, get my free travel itinerary template here.
1. Book Your Accommodations
I use Booking.com for hotels and Airbnb for vacation rentals. They have the biggest inventory and consistently offer the best rates.
2. Book Your Rental Car
Self-driving is the best way to explore most destinations. I use Discover Cars for our rental cars, select full coverage insurance, and opt for a reputable company like Alamo, Hertz, or Sixt.
3. Book Your Tours & Experiences
I use Viator, Airbnb, and Get Your Guide to find the best tours and experiences. They are my favorite tour search engines. I always check all three as their inventory varies depending on the destination.
4. Book Your Private Transfers
For easy, reliable private transfers, I use Welcome Pickups. It’s my go-to for arranging a driver in advance — whether it’s an airport pickup, a hotel-to-hotel transfer, or a day trip. The experience is seamless, with English-speaking drivers and upfront pricing, so you can travel stress-free at every stage of your trip.
5. Get Cell Data for Your Trip
I use Holafly for international cell data. Their unlimited data eSIMs are easy to install, activate instantly on arrival, and let you skip local SIM cards and expensive roaming fees.
6. Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
I never leave the country without travel insurance. It provides comprehensive protection in case anything goes wrong (ie. illness, injury, theft, or cancellations).
My favorite companies that offer the best coverage and rates are:
- World Nomads (best for all-around)
- Safety Wing (best for frequent travelers)

Jessica
