Between cityscapes and vast nature lies the chic hotel, the Fairmont Pacific Rim. With unobstructed views of the harbour and mountains, this modern hotel is sure to impress. Located in the heart of downtown and just a short walk from Gastown, the Fairmont Pacific Rim is the ultimate North American escape.

While this property might be a destination for the traveler, it is also a destination for the locals. Tucked inside the first floor of the hotel is a casual eatery Giovane Cafe, sprinkled with locals stopping by for their morning coffee or afternoon snack. During the evenings, the Fairmont will also find itself full of locals admiring the artistic walnut walls and marble floors inviting them in for a bite at the Lobby Lounge. It’s inviting atmosphere provides an opportunity to brush shoulders with locals or travelers alike.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is complete with three savory restaurants, a full service spa, and a rooftop pool to ensure the most relaxing of stays.  Furthermore, Fairmont Pacific Rim is not just a luxury hotel. Rather, it is a gallery of the owner’s favorite art pieces — each with a specific purpose and story creating an ever unique stay. An evening in the Lobby Lounge is a must as there is live music and incredible food from RawBar, easily one of the best nights to be had in Vancouver. Feeling adventurous? Order “Omakase” or the Chef’s Special and be prepared for perfection.

While being a guest at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, the amenities offered seem to be endless. Want to jaunt down to Gastown? Don’t worry, the hotel includes first come, first serve BMW car service in Downtown for Fairmont ALL Program Members (anyone can join!). Want to adventure to Stanley Park? The hotel has chic bicycles for guests to use complimentary. The service provided adds an extra touch of luxury to a city stay.

Checking into one of the 367 guestrooms and suites, it is noted immediately the blend of modern touches and classic luxury. Each room is equipped with plush robes, Nespresso machines, a stacked mini bar, and an iPad2 for controlling room temperature and lighting. In addition to the generous room is a spacious, spa bathroom complete with a soaking tub, rain shower, personalized bath products, and TV screen. The suites and rooms offer a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is more than just a hotel — it is a destination within itself. From the personalized touches to the outstanding service you might never leave.

PS — Are You Booking a Trip Soon? Use My Booking Checklist!

These are the sites I use most to book my own trips. Using the links below is a great way to support Bon Traveler’s travel journalism at no extra cost to you. If you need help organizing your itinerary, get my free travel itinerary template here.

1. Book Your Flights

I use Skyscanner to find the best flights. It searches 100s of airlines and websites across the globe to ensure you’re not missing out on any route options or deals.

2. Book Your Accommodations

I use for hotels and guest houses. They have the biggest inventory and consistently offer the best rates.

3. Book Your Tours & Experiences

I use Viator or Get Your Guide to find the best tours and experiences. They are my favorite tour search engines. I always check both as their inventory varies depending on the destination.

4. Book Your Rental Car

Self-driving is the best way to explore most destinations. I use Discover Cars for our rental cars, select full coverage insurance, and opt for a reputable company like Alamo, Hertz, or Sixt.

5. Don’t Forget Airport Lounge Access

I use Priority Pass to gain access to 1,400+ VIP lounges and airport experiences worldwide. The Priority Pass app is the first thing I check when I have a layover. I’ve been a member for over a decade, and having a comfortable place to relax before and between flights makes air travel so much more enjoyable.

6. Don’t Forget Travel Insurance

I never leave the country without travel insurance. It provides comprehensive protection in case anything goes wrong (ie. illness, injury, theft, and cancelations, etc.). I use it frequently for my travels to stay protected.

My favorite companies that offer the best coverage and rates are:
