Over the spring during a trip in Northern Wales, I had the pleasure of staying at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa. Set in the charming countryside not far from Llandudno, this historic 17th century house has been beautifully restored to a luxury hotel. With stunning grounds featuring manicured lawns and gardens, it’s hard to not feel like you’ve been whisked away to your own private manor. Here’s a look inside the stay at Bodysgallen Hall…

Staying at Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales
Grounds at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa
It’s the first thing that caught my eye — the rolling green hills dotted with sheep. Magical to say the least, the 200 acres of parkland that surround the hotel are perfect for exploring. Just out back lies a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges, where flowers like roses grow abundantly. You could easily spend hours walking around or picking one of the chairs in the gardens and grabbing a book and reading.
The Rooms at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa
From the main house rooms to the private cottages, there is plenty to choose from. I stayed in one of the private cottages which had a sitting area, a kitchen, and a seperate sleeping room. In the back, it opened up to it’s own private yard where you could hang out it in. The decor was charming and fitting for the style of the hotel, making it feel cozy like a home.
Dining at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa
One of the highlights of the hotel is eating at the restaurant at Bodysgallen Hall & Spa. I ate here two nights in a row and loved each of the meals. Set as a prefix, the multiple courses feature local specialities and fresh, seasonal ingredients. The best part is that it looks out over the stunning gardens.
The Spa at Bodysgallen Hall
Of course one of the main reasons guests come to this luxury hotel is for the spa. With an indoor pool, gym, and sauna, it’s the perfect place to unwind. You can book treatments as well for your time!
