It’s about this time of year that I start to dream of a winter getaway. California is home to some incredible places to escape for some fun in the snow and these incredible Airbnbs are reason enough to go.
Whether you’re located in Northern California or Southern California, there are destinations for both. From Lake Tahoe to Sierraville, to Idyllwild to Lake Arrowhead, these Airbnbs are some of the most charming cabins to snuggle up in. Hygge Mountain Home in Truckee
Truckee, California is one of my favorite places to go during the winter months in Northern California. The downtown is incredibly charming and you are close to some of the best ski resorts. This cozy home is super close to downtown and really well designed for a winter trip.
The Boulder Lodge in Idyllwild
The enclave town of Idyllwild is one of those winter destinations that doesn’t always come top of mind. But this Boulder Lodge may be just reason enough to travel here. The house was actually built into a boulder, creating a focal point for the living room and adding some seriously cozy vibes.

The Little Black Cabin located in Carnelian Bay of Lake Tahoe may be one of the best rentals I’ve seen thus far in that area. Located at Constellation Creek Resort in Sierraville (in the heart of Northern California’s Sierras), there are individual cabins to book. Right along the creek, these cabins are for those looking to disconnect and get out in nature. It is also an ideal spot to go stargazing as you’re out in the middle of the great outdoors.
