Looking to combine incredible dining with your stay? I think you’ll love this list of the best hotel restaurants in Northern California. While hotel restaurants may not always have the best reputation, this list shows just the opposite.
In fact, many Northern California hotels are home to some of the most renowned restaurants in the state! It’s no surprise that truly the top restaurants are located inside a hotel. It makes it very convenient for guests to stroll down and grab a seat at a top-tier restaurant. And for those visiting, what better place to cozy up for a meal?
From Michelin-starred eateries to cozy spots with ocean views, Northern California hotels go above and beyond when it comes to on-site restaurants. Whether you’re a seasoned local or a first-time visitor, here’s my list of the best hotel restaurants in Northern California!
The Best Hotel Restaurants in Northern California
Nick’s Cove is one of my absolute favorite places for a nearby escape. However, even if we aren’t able to book a room for a night or two, we always stop by the restaurant when we’re in the area.
The oysters are a must-order, but all of the seafood is incredibly fresh. All in all, Nick’s Cove is a solid spot for amazing seafood and hazy bay views. For more information on a stay, see what it’s like staying at Nick’s Cove and check out my guide to the Point Reyes area.

Acacia House has a very cozy and homey atmosphere and specializes in fresh, Southern-inspired dishes. Sourcing locally and sustainably is also a huge priority at Acacia House.
Despite the fact that the menu is refined and elegant, Acacia House is a bit more relaxed and laid-back when compared to many other Northern California hotel restaurants. We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Alila Napa Valley, and adored our experience here.

When it comes to a fancy dinner in wine country, TRUSS is always at the top of my list. The mountain views plus a glass of wine while sitting on the open patio is always a luxe experience that never gets old.
One recommendation is to arrive early and enjoy a sunset cocktail out on the patio by the firepit before sitting down to dinner. A stay at the Four Seasons Napa Valley is a wonderful wine country getaway — read more about our recent stay here.
